Explore Cleethorpes!

At the heart of the resort is its pier, which originally opened to the public back in the late 1800s and celebrated its 150th birthday in 2023. Today it is the centre for much activity, with Cleethorpes Central Promenade and North beaches spanning either side of this fine example of Victorian architecture.

It’s a hugely popular destination among our many holiday home owners, who love exploring Cleethorpes, especially when the sun is shining and they want to enjoy some quality family time together. It’s a great destination to bring the grandchildren with so much to see and do.

Cleethorpes Light Railway

Voted North East Lincolnshire’s No1 tourist attraction, there’s something here for all ages! Enjoy a ride on their fleet of locomotives or test your skills on their 9-hole golf course.

Head down the coast from Cleethorpes and you’ll arrive at this vast area of wetland, which covers over 10km. Visit during the winter months and you may well be able to spot seals and their pups.

You can’t head to Cleethorpes and not try your hand at some of the many classic amusement arcades! From video games to coin pusher machines, there are many venues up and down the promenade where you can try your luck!

Fancy catching the latest blockbuster? You won’t have to travel far, with this large cinema located on Kings Road.

Cleethorpes Boating Lake is located at the southern end of Cleethorpes, next to the local nature reserve. Take a stroll around the Boating Lake, feed the ducks or, season permitting, take a row boat, canoe, kayak or pedalo onto the water.

Where east meets west, the Greenwich Meridian Line is located along the coastal path close to the Meridian Showground.

The line has been marked in Cleethorpes since the 1930s when Hadfields of Sheffield presented a plate to be laid in the path and to test their new non-corroding steel.

Walkers can enjoy the Greenwich Meridian Trail, a long-distance walk of approximately 273 miles that follows the line of the Prime Meridian starting from the Prime Meridian obelisk at Peacehaven in East Sussex and ending on the coast of Sand le Mere in East Yorkshire.

One of our best loved attractions, the Cleethorpes Lollipop Road Train is an enjoyable, fun ride along the seafront offering scenic views of the beach, sea and beautiful flowerbeds. It is a delightful journey for young and old.
